2017-12-32... The year is over. Where I am it is January 1st 2018, but let's just say December has an extra day as I was out socialising and didn't have time to upload all of this. We end the year with a look at Cosmic Star Heroine. An indie RPG with calls back to the classics of the 16bit era.

2017-12-10 I decided to play something from the most recent GOG Weekly sale over the weekend. In Infested Planet you take a team of troops to shoot alien scum. Hundreds of aliens. Thousands. Oh no!

2017-12-06 Greetings It is crunch period at work and I've mainly been playing Euro Truck Simulator 2. A very good and relaxing game. I am also now on the NBN. I know this year has been quieter. That's what a job does to you. But I'll try to have a few things up by the end of the year.

2017-11-11 I've recently been playing Train Valley. A decent puzzler let down by a tiny UI and some timing issues with train control.

2017-10-22 Today I play all of "Northmark: Hour of the Wolf", a card/deck building game with RPG elements. Fun, if a little shallow.

2017-10-01 Today I played "Slayaway Camp" a cute little puzzle game with a ludicrous amount of optional ultra violence.

2017-09-28 Divinity Original Sin 2 Big Box CE edition has arrived!

2017-09-18 Divinity Original Sin 2 was released recently out of Early Access. I also have a Big Box Collectors edition on the way here to regional Australia. There are no updates due to work and DOS2 taking up all my time. Yes. Go play DOS2. I'll have a write up and some box pics when it arrives. --ois

2017-08-29 Bardbarian is a game where the hero is sick of the grind. In this avoidance shooter, you must continuously grind and grind and try not to get bored.

There's a lot of legacy cruft from the old 2015 green & olive design still lurking about that needs cleaning up! 2017-08-14 Some extra rebalancing has happened. Playing through all the indies I picked up, here's a look at Paper Train Traffic. Lovely art style, unfortunate gameplay.

Dark Scavenger is a mix of adventure games and novels and an RPG. It's also a rather lot of fun and I recommend playing it.

I've also finally split off the Soundtrack/OST listings into the right side bar for games that I know have them. At some point I'll do a full pass on everything, but the ones where it was linked in the impressions section are now more easily found.

Today I played through Spaera. A game that needs more players to make it the fun it really could be.

IE11 should also no longer break on image oveflow. And really, are you still using IE? Get a real browser!

You know, I've played three games in the last year that hint at Dragons getting it on with Humans, and I swear this is not a topic I was seeking out.

The heatwave returns. So I've not written and played much. Except for one game.

I highly recommend you all go out and play Night in the Woods as soon as you get a chance. Out now on Steam, GOG, Humble, and Itch.

The weather is cooler. The games require me to play them. I played THOTH, and felt as miserable as I did with all the heat and stress of the last few weeks.
